Painting the hull really nbrings this old girl back to life doesn&#8217;t it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ep11 Finishing the Hull Stripes\" width=\"740\" height=\"416\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UcTmbjt3Mic?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The old paintjob had brown on the top and bottom, but for a more modern look and feel, we thought that a bit more white than brown as the predominant colour would be a good idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/interlux.com\/en\/ca\/boat-paint\/topcoat-finish\/brightside-polyurethane\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/interlux.com\/en\/ca\/boat-paint\/topcoat-finish\/brightside-polyurethane<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We used Interlux Brightside paint for the hull. Simple white gloss for the base and then for the stripes we mixed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interlux.com\/en\/us\/boat-paint\/topcoat-finish\/brightside-polyurethane\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fire engine red and sea green<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can see the work on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sailons.com\/northerncomfort\/2019\/07\/13\/prepping-for-paint-primary-colour-interlux-brightside-white\/\">previous post<\/a> for the base white coats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
