Needing tunes on the boat

We put together a video and comparison tech review of the Fusion NMEA 2000 radios. Why NMEA 2000? Well, to control our music without having to open up an app and keep the tunes flowing right on the chart plotter!

We installed our radio down in the cabin and setup a couple of zones. One zone is the main cabin with a couple of speakers, and the second is the helm station in the cockpit. We chose the RA210 (the cheapest of the 3 NMEA 2000 compatible radios from Fusion/Garmin).

Here is a Tech Review write-up on all three, and you can also watch the video on our YouTube channel. There are links to the radios as well on our tech review.

Now that we have some tunes, we are wondering why it took 4 years to get a radio back on the boat! Music sure does add a lot, and even when we watched some movies huddled over the laptop in the cabin, it changes the atmosphere considerably.
